Nosy Neighbor

My husband and I live in a townhouse that has a wood-fenced in courtyard in the back. The setup is that you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the patio. When you go down the stairs, if you look to your right or left, you can see what your neighbors are up to on their patios. Our neighbor to the west of us always takes a good long look to see if we are out there. If we are, he will usually strike up a conversation. I recently bought a laptop that has mobile broadband and I enjoy working on my laptop out on the patio. One day my neighbor spotted me with my laptop and just had to ask me all about it. What kind was it, where did I purchase it, and so on and so forth. So I asked him “Do you want to come over and give it whirl?” I think he got the message, muttered “no thanks” and ducked back inside. That’ll teach him.
