Talking about the Book of Mormon with others

By admin | September 28, 2009

When I was 15, I had the chance to go to Austria for a little over a month, doing a trade with a 13-year-old girl. She came back home with me for about 5 weeks. I had many great experiences there and some frustrating ones as well. My host family kept questioning why I wouldn’t wear tank tops or drink alcohol. That wasn’t just a religious issue, but cultural as well. I explained that it wasn’t legal for me to drink in my country and also what alcohol did to tear my family apart. Before I left, I wrote my testimony in a copy of the book of mormon and left it there with them. Of course, it was a Book of Mormon written in German. I doubt if they read it, but hoped they did.
