Where Can I Find Out More About Baby Car Seats?

I am going to be having a baby, and I need to get a car seat so that I can take the baby home safely from the hospital. I really don’t know what I should look for in these types of seats. Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about baby car seats? I want to make sure I get one that is very safe that will be the right size for my baby and that will fit into my car well. I have heard that some seats don’t work well in some cars, and I don’t want to get the wrong type.
