What Will Happen To My Credit After I File Bankruptcy?
By admin | April 5, 2009
While your credit will not be completely ruined if you file for bankruptcy, it will remain on your credit report for up to ten years. If you have a regular, decent income you will typically find that you can receive credit even after you file bankruptcy. Most people find they can still purchase an automobile after filing for bankruptcy and can then begin rebuilding their credit from there. If you think about it, your credit is already in terrible shape if you’re even thinking about filing bankruptcy with all the past-due credit cards debts, house payments, utility bills etc. So basically, it’s almost better to file and wipe your debts completely clean.
