Making My Trip to Cork Affordable

I have been saving up my money for a while now, but I still don’t have enough to take an extravagant vacation. I need to get away for a while though, so I am going to try to take a trip that is affordable using my savings. Can anyone tell me the best place to go in order to find affordable Ireland hotels? I know that I will be going to Cork since I have a friend who lives there that I would love to see again, but I am not sure whether I will have the time to go anywhere else.
