The Difference Between Apex and Pent Sheds

By admin | April 30, 2009

Do you have too much stuff and are in the market for a shed to store it all in? If you’ve never had the occasion to go shed shopping before, you may not know the difference between apex and pent sheds. These funny terms, “apex” and “pent”, simply refer to the type of roof the shed has. A pent shed has an almost flat roof that slopes backward slightly. An apex shed has a roof that forms - you guessed it - an apex, and slopes downward sharply on the left and right. In the U.S., most sheds have apex roofs, though the pent sheds which are more popular in the U.K. add a more rustic charm to the garden.
