Are your traps as developed as you want them to be?Alot of people do not train their traps as hard as other muscle groups.But the fact is that a nice set of traps will give your shoulder is a more balanced and developed appearance. They will make you look great in a shirt and with out one too. Is your personal trainer telling you this?
The trapezius muscle or the “traps” is the large muscle that starts right at the top of your shoulders and runs right done the middle of your back ending right at the top of the lower back. This is also what will give you that christmas tree appearance at the bottom of your back.
When it comes to training your traps there are only a few different exercises that you can do to directly target the traps effectively and make sure that you have hit them really good. But the thing is that the exercises are great. The most common of all of the trap exercises is the dumbell shrugg. If you do not have alot of grip strength then you might want to use some wrist straps on this one. If you do not have a really good grip then your forearms and your hands will give out before your traps will. If you want to get in good shape you need balance.
Your traps are built for endurance and you have to really hit them and drive them into the ground with alot of reps and alot of heavy weight. Using these wrist straps you will find is a great help. Developing those traps can be alot of fun.
