Finding the Correct ICD 9 and ICD 10 Codes

I had to look up the correct icd 9 and icd 10 codes after a patient passed away of a very rare disease. It was a disease I had never heard of and I had a hard time finding the correct codes for it. After searching through the database I was finally able to find the correct codes. The codes were not recognized by the computer at first, so I had to manually enter the codes into the patient’s chart.
