A Waiting Room Visit

Today, I made a waiting room visit. I was waiting to see my family doctor. As I sat I could not help but to overhear an elderly couple having a discussion.
The elderly woman was telling her husband that she did not want to see the doctor today, but the man insisted. The gentle and caring husband was concerned about his wife’s health. He knew that she held a family history of colon cancer.
This made me think about the way I was eating. I truly needed to return to eating high fiber foods. I knew that I also had a family history of colon cancer. The waiting room visit that I had today was a gentle reminder to eat right!
