I worked for five years in foreign exchange (Fremwährung) but I decided to give this up to explore the other side of travel money…the travelling! I had written a travel blog for years, ever since I’d left school really. I love writing and felt like it was something I could do for me and also a good way to document where I’d been and what I did there. It actually got a lot of followers and was featured in a well known magazine. It picked up the attention of an editor who requested that I write for the magazine free lance in the travel section! I quit my job straight away and I now work for three different magazines free lance. It is such an amazing buzz visiting the most beautiful places in the world and writing about them AND getting paid. I would recommend everyone to follow their ambitions because it can be done!
