Laws and Bounty Hunting

By admin | March 29, 2009

Laws of the state are commonly enforced on out-of-state Bounty Hunters, which means a suspect could the time being evade arrest by going to a state in which the bail agent has limited jurisdiction.Bounty hunters can run into serious legal troubles if they try to get bail jumpers from other countries. Laws in almost all countries outside the United States, which do not tolerate bounty hunting, would recording label the arrest of any runaway as kidnapping or the bounty hunter may be subject to the punishments of other serious crimes. Well known bounty hunter Duane Chapman (TV series Dog the Bounty Hunter) was caught in Mexico after he arrested the multi-millionaire rapist and fugitive Andrew Luster. Chapman was later himself announced a runaway by a Mexican prosecutor and was later on apprehended in the United States to be extradited back to Mexico even though under Mexico’s citizen arrest law, Dog and his members acted under appropriate policy and broke no other Mexican laws.
