Father hit by car while placing daughter into child seat

Five years. Six motor vehicle accidents. That is the history of a woman in mid forties who in her most recent accident hit a pedestrian. The victim of her latest accident was the father of a 1 year-old girl who was placing his daughter in a car seat. Not stopping at the scene of the accident she was nonetheless detained a short distance away until the police were able to arrive when another driver who had witness her hit the man drove after her and forced her to pull over. Other witnesses then gathered and helped detain her for the police. According to the report, the incident took place at approximately 8 in the morning and the car had visible damage including a cracked windshield as well as front-end damage. The father of the 1 year-old suffered massive head trauma from the accident. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later reported to be in critical condition after undergoing emergency brain surgery for his injury. The little girl was not hurt in the accident.
