Don’t Lend Money to Family!

We have always done great with money. Even when we were making half as much as other family, we had more to show for it. We lived within our means. In fact, we were even saving. Then, we committed the ultimate financial sin and cosigned for a brother in law. That ended up being a horrible debt management move. There’s nothing as bad as seeing your credit sink into oblivion because of someone else’s bad choices. You have to take some of that blame on yourself, because you let them. But, it’s still frustrating to try and get them to step up.
