Can anyone recommend a debt settlement company?

I have over fifty thousand dollars of debt and I am in desperate need of debt relief services. I looked up debt settlement companies on the internet and I can not believe the number of credit card debt settlement companies. I’ve spent the better part of my day contacting various debt settlement companies. Does anyone have a recommendation for me? I’ve ruled out several companies as I felt pressured to enroll in their programs by the people I was speaking to. My wife wants to consider credit card debt consolidation; however I think our situation is beyond debt consolidation. I am three months behind on most of my credit cards and my neighbor says debt settlement is the way to go.
