Acoustic Blues Guitar Used to Express Hard Times
By admin | September 29, 2009
I love listening to the blues and am fascinated by the origin of this genre of music. Blues is the name given to a form of music that was created by African American communities in the South in the late 1800s. The acoustic blues guitar form is characterized by specific chord progressions. There are also specific notes that purposely flattened for expressive reasons. There are several different forms of blues that range from country to urban blues. The term the blues came from meaning melancholy or sad and was an expression of the times for many African Americans during that era.
